Day 01: Hanoi - Ba Be (L, D)

Depart from Hanoi for Ba Be at 8.00AM. The drive is filled with beautiful scenery of rural land. You will have a stop in the town of Thai Nguyen to visit the Museum of Ethnology where exhibits and information displays provide great insight into the cultures and lifestyles of the various hill tribe groups that reside in the region.
Lunch will be taken in a local restaurant en-route. Further drive to Ba Be through spectacular landscape of mountains and forest dotted with peaceful village on hillsides.
Arrive in the Pac Ngoi village of Tay minority people that situated by the side of Ba Be lake in the late afternoon. Here, your host will welcome you to their home with warm smile and a cup of tea. Freshen yourself up then take a stroll around the village for sightseeing and photos. Dinner of local taste and specialties are served along with rice wine. Warm hospitality of the host and strong wine make you feeling at home and it is the chance to learn about local culture and tradition.

Day 02: Ba Be Lake cruise - Cao Bang (B, L, D).

Waken up early by noisy roosters, cows and pigs in the village; going out for some fresh air of mountains and forests here and walk around to see how local people prepare for a new working day.

Then, turn back for breakfast and check out, say good bye to our host family. We walk to our boat for gliding in Babe lake. This is the most wonderful time in our tour, just keep your camera on your hand, be ready for shooting life-time photos. Babe lake lies about 150 m above sea level with a total area of 650 ha, it is surrounded by high limestone mountains which reflect in the clear water, all of them create a wonderful scenery. It even becomes more special when all mountains are covered by thick forest of Babe national park, green color is all over in front of you.

All water in Babe lake flow to Nang River and then coming down to Dau Dang water fall, making a mighty water fall for you to see. Then, our boat go upstream 8 km to visit Puong Cave which was created when Nang river flowed through a huge limestone mountain, that is great shelter for  wild bats, bring along with you a strong flash light, you can see them on the high ceiling of the cave.

Our boat trip finishes at the other side of Babe Lake where our driver is waiting for you there to bring you to a local restaurant for lunch in Cho Ra Township. Then, we drive to Cao bang city in a snaky road, it is time for you to enjoy beautiful nature of Vietnam. Arrive at Cao Bang in the late afternoon.

Day 03: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc waterfall - Cao Bang (B, L, D) 

Continue to drive in twisted and winding roads up to border with China, you will have opportunities to admire the fantastic scenery of mountains, forests, streams, terrace rice fields and see villages of hill tribes along the way. Stop at a famous blacksmith village where you can buy some good knives and scissors for your home.

Arrive at Bangioc waterfall at lunch time, that is the place many people wish to come! The whole Quay Son River flows into this mighty waterfall, once you get close to it, you will feel cool down when the mist of water splatter everywhere. Take some great photos with Bangioc waterfall before going for lunch.

This afternoon, we will visit one of the most beautiful cave in Vietnam, Nguom Ngao cave. This is a long cave ( about 800 m) with a river inside, in flooding season, some time people cannot visit it because of high water level. It used to be a shelter for tigers, so local people named it after the sounds of tiger crying they could hear inside the cave “ Nguom….Ngao”. Discover deeply inside the cave, you will be astonished by so many special stalagmites and stalactites which look like corals, lotus flowers, candles, terrace rice fields…You are free to imagine your-self…..

Turn back to our car and drive back hotel in Cao Bang city for staying overnight. Farewell dinner tonight!

Day 04: Cao Bang - Hanoi (B, L)

Today, you will have a whole day drive back to Hanoi with stops for coffee and lunch on the way. Once more again, you have chance to see vivid and fantastic scenery of nature all along your way. Arrive in Hanoi about 4 PM. Trip ends!
